Creativity lives on

After a very long time i am back. Let me get you straight into the post without much banter.

These are generally the days of email forwarding . If you get a mail you'll send it to your friends and in turn they'll . In this fashion sometimes , or maybe many times , you bump into reading the same email again. I even find out myself somewhere down the Fwd:fwd:fwd:.... series .

This post is about such an email fwd. There is an email which i got it from a dear friend of mine which i would like to mention it hear and there is a very high chance you had already been through it. Sorry guys, can't help.

Hey, forgot to tell you people there is something more interesting after reading the email and that is where you'll find the crux of this post. Enjoy reading the email.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his
5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.

SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"

DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"
the man said
angrily.

SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an
hour?"

DAD: "If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour."

SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you
can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then
you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about
why you are being so selfish.. I work hard everyday for such this
childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and
started to get even angrier about the little
boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some
money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to
think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that
Rs..50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to
the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.

"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the
man.

"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the
Rs.50 you asked for.

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" he yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry
again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up
at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.

"Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with
you."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he
begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We
should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some
time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. : red;">

Do remember to share that Rs.100 worth of your time with someone you
love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily
replace us in a matter of days.

But the family friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the
rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than to our family.

---- Email ends here ---------

For people who skimmed through the email recollecting, now stop thinking and start reading from here.

Generally the first few lines itself is enough to tell you that you had read it already. Don't worry it might take a few more lines for nuts like me . Once you recollect you had read this we have two options . You can either delete it or forward it to friends . I generally prefer the second option since it helps in two ways. Your friend is going to read it if he didn't do it earlier. There is an equal chance he might too get pissed off and choose the same path as mine.

But a very dear friend of mine, a creative genius , thought the other way. He took his time and extended the story in the email.

Read the extended story here.

After dinner, father starts thinking about his son’s education. He asks his son if he could write a program to reverse the linked list.

The child answers “NO” and his father beats his ass off.

The child repents asking his father to come early and repents even more for loosing Rs.100 with which he would have bought some candies for himself and his girlfriends.

The child realizes the mistake and everyone lived happily ever after.

This was really amazing stuff . I actually liked the original e-mail and even thanked my friend for it for sharing it . I generally tend to thank my friends for sharing some really good ones . The extension was much much fun. I was not able to stop laughing reading it. I went on to send the original and extension e-mails to some of my friends. Somehow, today i thought of sharing this whole episode with all you guys who will be reading this .
